Post Graduate Diploma in Agribusiness Management (PGDM-ABM)
The two-year PGDM (ABM) programme equips students for diverse roles in the Farm, Food and Agribusiness sectors by fostering sustainable enterprise management skills through foundational, functional, integrative management and sector-specific courses; which emphasises theoretical frameworks, analytical tools, and practical skills through immersive learning, preparing students for real-world challenges.
A unique focus on sustainable enterprise management balances the triple ‘P’ objective of ‘Planet’ (ecology), ‘Profit’ (economy), and People (equity) through the following:

A. Induction: 4 weeks
- To enhance computation, comprehension, and IT skills
- To enhance students’ readiness for successful completion (to avoid failures)
B. Interactive Learning: Five terms – 60 weeks – 90 credits
- To learn theoretical frameworks, analytical tools through class room sessions, subject specific assignments and case-study based discussions etc
C. Experiential Learning–Seed to Market Project–spread across 3 terms–4 credits
- To ensure integration of theoretical knowledge with practical application
- To provide practical exposure of business principles
- To inculcate entrepreneurial spirit among students
D. Enterprise Realities – 3 weeks – 4 credits
- To explore the Farm, Food, and Agri Business Enterprises through EEE Exercise, Appreciative Inquiry, Focus Group Discussions, Interviews.
- To collaborate and co-publish encapsulated learning
E. Management Internship – 12 weeks – 12 credits
- To experience the real-work field environment through handholding
- To evolve and implement sustainable enterprise management solutions
- To collaborate and co-publish encapsulated learning from the internship
F. Capstone Project – Sixth term – 10 weeks – 10 credits
- To explore the Global, National, Regional, Local level sector scenarios in the Farm, Food, and Agribusiness
- To compare, analyse, prepare and present a report on the sector scenario
- To appreciate the role of existing and emerging Technologies in these sectors
- To recognise the importance of ESG in Sustainability Assessment.
- To encourage, prepare and enhance ‘Job-readiness’
