PGDM (Agri Business Management) Admission Process & Eligibility Criteria

Eligibility

  • Graduates from all disciplines are eligible, provided they demonstrate a keen interest in food and Agri business management.
    Preference will be given to candidates with a background in agriculture and allied sectors, including dairy science, dairy technology, agricultural engineering, etc. A recognized graduate degree from a UGC/ICAR-accredited institution is mandatory.
  • Final-year students are also eligible to apply, but graduation must be completed at the time of joining the PGDM-ABM program.
  • A minimum CGPA of 5.00/10.00 or 50% aggregate marks (or equivalent).
  • Applicants must have appeared for one of the following entrance exams: CAT, MAT, CMAT, ATMA, GMAT, or XAT.
  • Candidates with work experience in agriculture, allied sectors, or agribusiness are encouraged to apply, though fresh graduates are also welcome

Admission Process

  • Step 1: Registration-  Explore the PGDM-ABM Program and clarify any doubts about the institution. Fill the online registration form Click here
  • Step 2:  Screening Test for Admission- Complete a test to assess your agri-business awareness
  • Step 3:  Application- Apply online at www.sgih.ac.in
  • Step 4:   Personal Interview- Shortlisted candidates will be called for a Personal Interview (PI).
  • Step 5:  Selection- Provisional admission will be granted based on merit
  • Step 6: Offer Letter-  The provisional admission offer will be sent via email and post
  • Step 7:Commitment Fee- Pay the commitment fee by the deadline specified in your Offer Letter.
  • Step 8: Campus Visit: Certificate Verification and Admission Kit Collection- During your campus visit, you will complete certificate verification and collect your admission kit. which includes a laptop bag, T-shirt, water bottle, pen and notebook.
  • Step 9: Educational Loan Support- Obtain educational loan documents from the admissions department if needed.
  • Step 10: Induction- Tentatively the program starts with Induction and Remedial during the first half of June 2025.

Selection Criteria

    PGDM – ABM Admission Evaluation Criteria (Out of 100 Marks)
    1. Score in the Common Admission test – 25 marks on having a valid score in any of the below mentioned national eligibility tests including CAT, MAT, XAT, CMAT, ATMA, GMAT
    2. A minimum CGPA of 5.00/10.00 or 50% aggregate marks (or equivalent) in graduation – 25 marks
    3. Admission Screening Test and Personal Interview – 50
        Total – 100
    We have multiple rounds of Selection based on the admission processes conducted.
    The above criteria is applied for each round.

    Merit list will be prepared for each round of the Selection. Overall cut-off is 75/100 for offering provisional admission.

Important Dates:
– Commitment Fees: Within three days of offering provisional admission
– 1st Instalment of Program Fees: On or Before 15th May, 2025
– 1st year Hostel Fees: On or Before 7th June, 2025
