Exploratory Courses

• Agri Business Exploration (ABE) (3 weeks – 4 credits)

Students have to study by visiting one Farm Enterprise, one Food Enterprise and one Agribusiness Enterprise during this module in small groups.A detailed study report for each of the three enterprises mentioned above needs to be presented and submitted by the end of the three weeks by the small group. The Presentation and Report should minimally cover agri business context, form, structure, functions, tasks,and activities spread over three years both in qualitative and quantitative terms.
ABE is evaluated with 30% weight for study visit preparation, 35% for presentation, 35% for report

• Agribusiness Management Internship (12 weeks – 12 credits)

Immersive Learning through attachment with farm-food-agribusiness enterprises is an important component of the PGDM ABM program. Host organisations select students, assign projects or tasks to perform during internship period and may also offer stipend to meet the living expenses. They usually cover costs of travel, board, lodge and other costs involved in completion of the assigned project or tasks. Internship performance is evaluated by Faculty as well as host organisation.

• CIS – Agri Business Capstone Project (sixth term – 10 credits)

This is a course of independent study of a sector of the students’ choice linked to their preference for career. Multifaceted assignment integrating learnings across foundational, functional and integrative courses that serves as a culminating academic and intellectual exercise towards the end of the PGDM-ABM program.
