Prof. KV Raju served as the first Director and founding member of the faculty of Development Management Institute, Patna established in 2014 with the active support of Government of Bihar and development support organisations till March 2018. Pror to this, Prof. Raju joined Institute of Rural Management, Anand in June 1994 as Visiting Fellow and served later as faculty member from July 1995– March 2014. He taught courses related to design, participatory governance and performance management of producers' enterprises; values and ethics in management; social entrepreneurship for enhancing livelihoods and leadership for societal transformation. Prof. Raju was part of several research projects and consultancy assignments supported by state, national and international agencies including National Dairy Development Board, NDDB-Dairy Services, National and State Rural Livelihoods Missions, International Cooperatives Alliance. Prior to joining IRMA, he worked with Samakhya (Cooperative Development Foundation) for more than decade (1983-1994) in empowering farm producers at grassroots to undertake processing and marketing of value added products in erstwhile state of Andhra Pradesh. Prof Raju is an alumnus of IRMA from second batch (1981-83) and a short stint with FABS during covid pandemic times and rejoined to serve as Director, Sagar Group of Institutions since 06 December 2024.
