Mariappan Ramarathinasamy, (rmariappan@sgih.ac.in 8800822827) is working as Associate Professor of Practice in the Food and Agribusiness School (FABS)of Sagar Group of Institutions, Hyderabad.
He has exposure and expertise in Producer Owned Enterprises – both Co-operatives and Producer Companies in Dairy Sector since 1993. He was with the Producer Institution Building team (PIB) of NDDB Dairy Services (NDS, a wholly owned subsidiary of NDDB) between July -2011 and March – 2024 for promoting and strengthening the Milk Producer Companies (MPCs). Before that, he had worked in the Co-operative Development/Services division of NDDB between May 1993 and July 2011. During his career, he was involved in design and delivery of various initiatives for both Dairy Co-operatives and MPCs that include capacity building programs for Members, Board and Employees; Trainers’ Training Programs based on Task Analysis; study and prepare reports based on financial analysis; develop measures / tools for data Analytics; being part of NGC team, actively involved in setting up of the milk procurement operations in Chittoor district and in incorporation of Shreeja Mahila Milk Producer Company(MPC), Tirupati. He has also developed skills exclusively required for Producer Companies – drafting MOA & AOA; incorporation and operationalization; designing and implementing various SOPs related to Institution Building; introducing Policy based Governance; developing content for various communication materials and preparing business plans and project reports.
